| Abstract |
There is accumulating evidence that functional recovery after brain injury such as stroke is associated with use-dependent plasticity of the central nervous system. Strategies for neurorehabilitation based on this idea have been tested to reveal that primary factors for significant improvements comprise high-intensity and repetitive task-specific practice. To enhance efficacy of motor learning with the same dose of intervention, context of practice including knowledge of results and reward might be promising factors. |
