Abstract |
Clinical neuropsychologist is a qualification that ensures foundational knowledge and skills of neuropsychology. Speech-language pathologists are involved in the evaluation and rehabilitation of aphasia and higher brain dysfunction in our daily clinical practice. However, we often find ourselves uncertain about how to interpret patients' symptoms. Studying neuropsychology is useful not only for gaining a perspective on the assessment of symptoms, but also for considering the mechanisms by which symptoms occur. Becoming a clinical neuropsychologist is an opportunity to apply neuropsychology in clinical practice. We look forward to a future in which many speech-language-hearing therapists study neuropsychology and become clinical neuropsychologists. |
