Abstract |
The Neuropsychology Association of Japan has only a short history of 26 years. The uniqueness of the association can be found in a fact that it was founded by the close cooperation between psychiatrists and neurologists. Speech pathologists also actively participated from the start. This unique interdisciplinary cooperation has succeeded in providing the common platform for scholars and clinicians from various research fields. In this article, the dawn of neuropsychological research in Japan, start up of Neuropsychology Workshop, foundation of the Neuropsychological Association of Japan, publication of the association's organ "Japanese Journal of Neuropsychology", the content of its activities, and its prospect were briefly presented. |
