Abstract |
In the last decade or so, functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) has been revealed many functional brain areas that are involved in cognitive tasks with higher spatial and temporal resolution compared to other imaging modalities, such as Positron Emission Tomography (PET). For analyzing fMRI data, brain mapping based on general linear model plays important role. More recently, most interest in fMRI research has switched from mapping of activation towards identifying the connectivity between brain areas. Many toolboxes have already been developed for the connectivity analysis. The purpose of this article is to review the representative connectivity analysis method and give a simple explanation for their theory and practice. |
