Abstract |
The roles of neuropsychological assessment in patients with neurological disease, especially neurodegenerative disease, epilepsy, headache and dementia are discussed. In the study of neurological disease, hypothesis-test approach is key concept and a test process based on a priori-hypothesis is important for revealing and comprehending a functional deficit, however, making a hypothesis is much more important for clarifying the deficit especially in the daily clinical setting. In addition, not only revealing a deficit but also revealing a strength of neuropsychological profile is also important for patients and carers. |
