Abstract |
Resuming driving is important for social rehabilitation, and from the viewpoint of the legal system, submission of a medical certificate for a certain disease is required and there is a high social need. As the flow of restarting car driving, the first is a detailed evaluation of physical function and cognitive function in in-hospital evaluation. Next, it is a vehicle driving evaluation at a driving school, and a comprehensive medical certificate is prepared, which is finally judged by a temporary aptitude test at the driver's license center. The case was a 64-year-old man with left thalamus infarction who had mild sensory aphasia, decreased attention distribution, and decreased processing speed. Although it was judged to be premature by the evaluation of 3 months after the onset, the person was not satisfied and a temporary aptitude test was conducted at the driver's license center, but the license was suspended. After that, he continued to follow up and resumed operation one year and two months after the onset. |
