Abstract |
Neuropsychological problems about emotions and the limbic system in Homo sapiens were discussed from a viewpoint of evolutional theory. Lamendella (1977)'s hypothesis about the ontogeny and the phylogeny of communication and the limbic system was reviewed (table). The auther pointed that Jacksonistic ideas on the evolution of the nervous system and behaviours may be necessary to explain the occurrence of effortful echolalia (Hadano et al., 1998) and Kluever-Bucy syndrome. Some clinical and neuropsychological considerations of emotions that constitute the link between the subject and the world were presented. |
