Abstract |
We reported a case of Asperger Syndrome who was born in 1944 and examined his clinical and cognitive neuropsychological impairments. He presented 1) right hemisphere damaged-like symptoms, 2) parietal lobe lesion-like symptoms, 3) impairments of representing the mental state of others, 4) particular somatognosic disturbances characterized by the enlargements of definition of the several body parts, and 5) impairments of emotional cognition though expressions and situations. Right Hemisphere Dysfunction Hypothesis, Parietal Lobe Dysfunction Hypothesis, White Matter Transmission Dysfunction Hypothesis and Amygdala-Limbic-Paralimbic Dysfunction Hypothesis were reconsidered. |
