Abstract |
Approximately 80% of the patients with cerebral hemorrhage are hypertensive. Hematoma is located most commonly in the putamen and the thalamus. Aphasia, memory disturbance, neglect, or dementia are frequently observed in the patients with thalamic hemorrhage, while aphasia, neglect, dressing apraxia, or constitutional apraxia in the patients with putaminal hemorrhage. The presence of higher cognitive disturbances may depend on the volume of hematoma. |
