Abstract |
Recent developments in neuropsychological rehabilitation were described using the International Classification of Functioning (ICF), Disability and Health-framework. Two rehabilitation techniques that stem from neural plasticity research, errorless learning and constraint-induced therapy, were explained. Several topics in aphasia rehabilitation were introduced with emphasis on activity and participation levels of the ICF. It was proposed that database resource will assist further development of the theory of rehabilitation and guide clinicians in the selection and implementation of treatment strategies for people with brain damage. Public education is an important duty for us to promote understanding of the invisible problems encountered by people with neuropsychological disorders. |
