Abstract This article reported three fMRI experiments concerning 1) the difference between natural movement with tactual manipulations and pantomime, 2) the process of state prediction in motor control, and 3) predictive learning process of the phonological sequences in an artificial grammar, to consider the brain mechanisms for construction of the egocentric model, prediction of an object's movements and actions, and mental simulation, those of which were proposed as three prerequisites of human mind by Inui (1997, 2004). Furthermore, it overviewed the global structure of brain network involved in realizing the basic functions of human mind.
