Abstract |
The purpose of the keynote address at 30th annual meeting of the Neuropsychological Association of Japan was to examine the present and future tasks for the measurement and evaluation in neuropsychological studies. The tasks for present Japanese neuropsychologists were those brought by brain imaging techniques such as overestimation and excessive interpretation of the data and issues that related to the shortcomings of Japanese neuropsychological tests such as lacks of tests addressed modern cognitive psychological findings and unreliable standardization of adopted tests. The future tasks were related to the development of proper neuropsychological tests and neuroethics suitable for Japanese neuropsychological researchers. |
