Abstract |
In this study, we explored a body-specific cognitive process in a case of Autotopagnosia. He could name body parts visually presented, so his semantic and visuo-spatial knowledge of body seemed to be spared. But when a target was given by tactile stimulation without visual input, his performance in naming task was defective. In pointing task, he showed impairment regardless of input modality of body parts and remarkable errors that reach for out of body space. In the present patient, AT is likely to be attributed to a deficit in the system that online code the dynamic location of body parts in egocentric framework. |
