Abstract Motor neglect has been reported frequently for the upper extremity. For the lower extremity, however, very few have been described, and the dysfunction has not been clearly established; therefore, many are unclear about the influence of motor neglect of the lower extremity on gait and other activities. The purpose of this report was to demonstrate the lower extremity function of a patient presenting with motor neglect. The result showed that motor neglect was observed also in the lower limbs and enormously affected gait and ADL. It is very important to recognize symptoms correctly in proceeding with rehabilitation, because motor neglect closely resembles to the motor paralysis and leads directly to lower extremity dysfunction and gait or other motor disturbances.
Keywords motor neglect, lower extremity functions, locomotor movements, putaminal hemorrhage, rehabilitation
