Abstract |
Progressive language disorder due to neurodegenerative diseases has often discussed in the term of primary progressive aphasia. Salient language symptoms of those cases are documented at the first clinical examination, however, some behavioral alterations are getting more apparent in the course of disease progresssion. I presented three patients shown marked progressive aphasia. I tried to compare their distinctive aphasic patterns and their characteristics of behaviors during conversation based on the pictures recorded at different point in disease progression. Behaviors of patients through VTR tell much more than thousands of words as Tanabe (2000) already pointed out. I hope that some new subjects of symptomatology of dementia would come out from patient's pictures. |
